Where to camp?

There are so many places to camp in the uk, how do you choose? Do you want the all singing all dancing ones with kids galore, pools and club houses? Or something more natural? Back to nature? Something in between? This is a great website for some inspiration http://www.coolcamping.co.uk/
Other ideas I'd love to hear!

Cool Camping have just added cool campsites in France too - very handy as we're planning a camping trip to the Dordoigne this summer!

  1. Hi Ali, we are glampers too! I need my duvet and pillows and decent chairs...!
We had a fabulous 3 months camping around Europe with our two big kids about 5 years ago (omg that long!!! still feels like yesterday!) Since then we've had two more kids and have camped for a couple of weeks nearly every year since - we have Cool Camping France and can definitely recommend the Indigo/Huttopia site at Noirmoutier (http://www.camping-indigo.com/en/nature-camping-Noirmoutier-france.html), very chilled.
    Good luck with the blog!

  2. Ah Libby good to hear from you! We've booked this year at www.campinglecapeyrou.com and can't wait! And I agree duvets and comfy chairs are a must. I'm really into doing it in a thrifty way so any tips you have I'd appreciate - I'm green with envy that you were able to camp for 3 months - I think that would be just amazing x thanks for the comment much appreciated!

  3. If you consider to go for a camping, you'd better take with camping tents, sleeping bag, pad, torch, toilet roll, clothes, foods and drinks, lighters, a camping stove will be better.
